Eichlers and mid-century homes
The Eichler tracts around Greenmeadow and Green Gables are beautiful and genuinely hostile to network cable: post-and-beam construction, flat roofs with no attic to run through, radiant heating in a concrete slab so you cannot go under the floor either, and walls of glass where an access point has nothing to mount to. There are real answers — perimeter routing, careful use of existing conduit, exterior-rated links between wings, and picking the few places worth opening. What there is not, is a mesh kit that solves it.
Privacy as a default, not an upsell
This is one of the few places where explaining local-first is unnecessary. If you would rather your cameras record to a box in your own house, your automations keep working when a vendor's cloud goes down, and your files not sit on someone else's server, that is our default build, not a premium tier.
Second opinions on big plans
If you have a quote from an integrator for a whole-home system, a technical review is the cheapest part of the project. We do not sell the hardware, so the review tells you which line items are load-bearing and which are margin.
